| Answer : | Sir, GTDC has proposed development of amenities at Basilica of Bom Jesus under Prasad Scheme of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The main components of the work and estimated cost are as per Annexure –A. The work will be taken up after obtaining all necessary sanctions and NOC’s. |

| Answer | GTDC has appointed Project Management Consultant (PMC) M/s Darashaw & Company Pvt. Ltd to work on the proposal of touristic importance site in Cumbarjua Constituency. However due to paucity of funds the work on beautification of Carambolim lake could not be taken up. |

Answer: :Sir, the number of illegal construction cases pending with the Deputy Director of Panchayat North are 772 cases and with the Deputy Director of Panchayat South are 551 cases.
(b) whether the GIA grants to Panchayats should be increased;
Answer: Yes
(c) the amount of GIA grants sanctioned to the Village Panchayats in Cumbarjua Constituency; and
Answer: as per enclosed Annexure
(d) whether the Government is planning to enhance the expenditure power of the Sarpanch for the welfare of the Villages?
Answer: Sir,
As per section 64(1)(d) the Sarpanch of the Village Panchayat can incur expenditure not exceeding rupees five thousand per month on any matter in an emergency and in public interest.
At present, there is no any proposal to enhance the aforesaid expenditure power of Sarpanch. However, the Village Panchayat can incur expenditure as per the powers vested in them in terms of Goa Panchayat Raj (Application of Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat Funds) (Conditions and Limitations) Rules, 2021. The financial powers are recently enhanced in February 2021.
