SHRI MAHADEV NAIK , MLA moved the following:

 “This House strongly recommends the Government to set up an Industrial
Estate at Shiroda in Shiroda Constituency for providing job opportunities
to the unemployed youth and also for the development of the
Constituency.”

The following Members spoke:

(3) SHRI MAHADEV NAIK moved the following:  

“This House resolves that the road at Shivnathi, Shiroda be widened by
taking necessary steps to remove all bottlenecks wherever they are
existing.”

SHRI MAHADEV NAIK spoke on the Resolution.

SHRI CHURCHILL ALEMAO, Minister for PWD replied to the points
raised by the mover.

The Resolution was withdrawn by leave of the House.

SHRI MAHADEV NAIK moved the following:

“This House unanimously resolves that any work carried out by RDA or any other Government agency through consolidated fund of Goa and consolidated fund of India routed through State Government should be taken up for execution on the recommendation of MLA.”

(2) SHRI MAHADEV NAIK, MLA called the attention of the Chief
Minister to the following:

“Apprehension and anxiety in the minds of people of Shiroda about the
continuous illegal extraction of sand at Kumbharwada in Nirankal and
illegal hill cutting near Karai Stadium & Anandwadi, Shiroda causing
environmental impact and failure of the Government to tackle the issue
quickly.”

 SHRI DIGAMBAR KAMAT, Chief Minister made a statement in regard
 to:-
 Shri Mahadev Naik, MLA sought clarification.

SHRI MAHADEV NAIK, MLA called the attention of the Minister for
Public Works to the following:

“Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Shiroda Constituency about
the safety of small bridges which were built during Portuguese time, may
collapse due to trucks carrying load of 50 tonnes & above thereby putting
the life of the people in danger.”

“This House congratulates Pandit Tulsidas Borkar from Borim Shiroda who is the renowned artist to receive the civilian Honour of the “Padmashree” (2016) for  his  outstanding contribution in  the  field of  Indian Classical Music and well known for playing Harmonium, thus bringing glory and fame to the State of Goa”.

SHRI MAHADEV NAIK made a mention about the absence of a
standby ferry at Rai-Rachol water route causing hardship to the people
whenever there is a breakdown of the lone ferry operating on the said
route.

SHRI RAMKRISHNA DHAVALIKAR, Minister for River Navigatiion
replied to the mention.

SHRI MAHADEV NAIK, made a mention about “ Anxiety and fear in the
minds of people about the reported incident of the hooliganism resulting in
beating of two women from Quepem and forcibly putting colour on them
during celebration of Holi on 20
 March, 2011 at Shiroda, and the action
Government intends to take.”
 
 SHRI RAVI NAIK, Minister for Home replied to the mention.

hill at Karaimol, Askan, Anandwadi in Shiroda Constituency.
