GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

SHRI LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR, Chief Minister moved the following:

“That this House ratifies the amendments to the Constitution of India  falling within the purview of clauses (b) and (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 368, proposed to be made by the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Second Amendment) Bill, 2014, as passed by both the Houses of Parliament.”

 SHRI LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR, MLA moved the following:

“This House resolves that a bridge across the river Tiracol connecting the two villages Keri
and Tiracol in Mandrem Constituency be taken up immediately in order to cater the
needs of the people of those areas.”

SHRI LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR moved the following:

“This House strongly resolves that the House recommends to the
Government that the sewerage facilities be provided on priority to the
coastal villages of Morjim, Mandrem and Arambol of Mandrem
Constituency in view of the environmental hazards like contamination of
drinking water wells occurring for want of safe sewerage facilities”.

The Minister for PWD replied to the points raised by the mover.

SHRI LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR moved the following:
 
“This House urges upon the Government to minimize the restrictions and
simplify the procedures into “single window” clearance to enable
ordinary citizens of Goa to build houses for themselves for self-use,
without the current bottlenecks and hassles, which will considerably
reduce hardship to Goans and also reduce corruption prevalent at grass
root levels due to the “licence raj” currently prevailing in regard to
permissions for self-housing”.

“This House unanimously resolves that the independent Power Substation

be set up in Mandrem Constituency in view of low voltage
problem, frequent power failures and large number of new consumers in
coastal belt of Mandrem Constituency.”

Government’s decision to grant Central University status to Goa
University which will have serious repercussions with respect to
reservation of seats to locals in Post Graduate Courses.

SHRI LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR called the attention of the Minister for
Education that the Government has lowered the pay scale of Principals of
Government aided Higher Secondary Schools appointed after 1998 to Rs.
8,000-13,500, while the Principals appointed before 1998 are being paid Rs.
10,000-325-15,200, thereby creating disparity in the pay scales of such
Principals against the principle of “equal pay for equal work.

for Education to the fear and apprehension in the minds of students of
Pragati Women’s College of Education situated at Torsem in Pernem
Taluka due to inadequate & insufficient infrastructure, under-qualified
faculty, poor Library facilities and unhygienic & congested classrooms
thereby ruining their prospects of becoming Teachers despite heavy fees
paid and donations given for seeking admission into the said College.

Prabhalata Naik, the relative who had come to visit the patient Sau. Tejaswini Naik who was undergoing operation today in Asilo.

 for inviting  Expression of Interest from International Consultants for
 providing Project Management Consulting Services for setting up a
 World Class  National Oceanarium Project in Goa at Miramar, in the
 plot belonging to the Goa Govt. probably without the knowledge  of
 this State Govt. since Goa Govt. has simultaneously already  appointed
 Transaction Advisor and has approved the Project under PPP.
