The attention of the House is drawn as regards the proposed and ongoing development around Toyyar lake known for its ecosystem and bio-diversity and hence this wetland ecosystem needs to be maintained. The people of Chimbel and especially the ST community needs to be informed of the steps taken to protect and preserve this eco-system and whether the development curtails road widening and demolition of houses. The steps the Government has taken to bring clarity and to preserve ecosystem in this regard.”

Health Centre and the School for Children which is in the same premises situated at Premiero Bairo in Santa Cruz village. The building structure is in a very bad condition. The steel of the ceiling and walls are exposed; and massive cracks and water leakage can be seen. If left unattended, the structure may collapse at any time. The steps the Government intends to take in the matter.”

c) whether the Government will expedite the same so that the work may be carried out before the monsoons?

c. whether the Government is aware that no refund of the payment has been issued till date; and

Ans. Approval of the Government has been obtained for the refund of Beneficiary Share vide Note No.26/8/DP/ SBM(G)/2024-25 dated 27/11/2024 Copy enclosed at ‘A’ the same is under process and will be completed in due period.

WILL the Minister for Panchayati Raj be pleased to state:
a. whether the Government is aware that exorbitant house/flat transfer fees have been burdened on the villagers of St. Cruz by the Panchayat;
Ans:- Yes. The Panchayat vide Resolution No. 11(82) meeting dated 20/04/2022 had unanimously decided to increase the transfer fees of flat from Rs. 10,000 to 25,000/- with effect from 1st April 2022.
b. whether the Government is aware that the villagers are opposing the same in every Gram Sabha; and
Ans:- Yes. The Villagers were opposing for the house tax transfer fees in the Gram Sabha but it was not recorded on the proceedings of Gram Sabha meeting which was held on 08/02/2026 but the video recording of the said Gram Sabha was carried out.
c. the steps the Government will take to resolve the same?
Ans:- The same will be discussed in the Village Panchayat meeting appropriate action.
