(4) SHRI DAYANAND MANDREKAR, MLA moved the following:
 
“This House unanimously resolves that immediate steps be taken
to further stop the soil erosion taking place at Anjuna beach (Near
Starco) thereby saving a number of houses being washed away.”

SHRI DAYANAND MANDREKAR, spoke on the Resolution.
SHRI  FILIP NERY RODRIGUES, Minister for Water Resources replied to the
points raised by the mover.
The Resolution was withdrawn by the leave of the House
(The House adjourned for lunch at 1 14 P M and resumed its sitting at 2 30 P M)

SHRI DAYANAND NARVEKAR, MLA called the attention of the Minister for Urban Development to the following:

            “Apprehensions and fear in the mind of backward communities in Goa due to reported decision of the Government to hold municipal elections without following the State policy of reservation of seats to OBC/ST/SC thereby causing injustice to backward classes and action the Government intends to take in the matter.”

SHRI DAYANAND R.MANDREKAR, Minister for Art and Culture moved the following:
 “This House Congratulates Shri Swapnesh H.Vaigankar from Nachinola ,Bardez-Goa who is the first Goan fine Artist to receive the National Award in the field of Graphics Arts ,in the National Level Art Exhibition of Lalit Kal Acadamy,New Delhi, thus bringing glory and fame to the State of Goa in the field of Arts”.

(1) SHRI DAYANAND MANDREKAR made a mention regarding the
fear and anxiety in the minds of people specially from Bardez Taluka
about the negligence on the part of Doctors from Asilo Hospital
responsible for death of Smt. Pragya Morajkar who died due to heavy
bleeding after delivery and as reported during the last 4 months, 5 such
deaths have occurred, the inaction of the Government to take strict action
against the doctors responsible.

SHRI DAYANAND MANDREKAR, MLAmade a mention about the apprehension in the minds of people of Siolim about the constant power cuts and sometimes no power at all resulting into inconvenience to the people.
