Fear and anxiety in the minds of Farmers from Oxel and surrounding  villages that the bund/retaining wall of the River in Oxel Village is in a dilapidated condition and may collapse anytime. In the year 2023,  some parts of the retaining wall collapsed and more than 50 farmers from Oxel and surrounding villages were affected. The steps  Government intends to take and the time frame within which the said work will be completed."

Fear and anxiety in the minds of fishermen from Chapora and Surrounding  Villages that for the past so many years dredging of the Chapora river has not taken place therefore fishermen face problems while going for fishing with their boats as water level has decreased at the mouth of the sea.

OVERFLOWING OF WATER FROM TILARI IRRIGATION CANAL

Fear and Anxiety in the minds of residents of Sodiem, in Siolim constituency due to overflowing of water from Tilari Irrigation canal. As we know every year water is being released through Tilari canal during monsoons and with heavy rains witnessed in Goa excess water flows through Pilimbi waddo in Sodiem village and most of the houses in that village are flooded. Two houses are effected almost every year and water reaches almost waist height.

whether the Government has any plans/has received any proposal to upgrade the Siolim Primary Health Centre to Community Health Centre;

Yes sir, the proposal is received to upgrade the Siolim Primary Health Centre to Community Health Centre.

b.

if so, the present status of the said proposal/plan and the time frame by which this said work will be completed; and

Government has not agreed for the Upgradation of Primary Health Centre, Siolim to 30 bedded Community Health Centre in view of the Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) norms.

c.

whether there is any criteria for upgradation of PHC to CHC?

As per IPHS norms 2022 for upgrading any PHC to CHC the population should be 80,000 to 1,20,000.
