For protection of the crops from wild animals, the Department of Agriculture implements following schemes:
Ø 75% assistance is provided to the farmers towards construction of Stone Wall Fencing, erection of Barbed Wire Fencing and Chain link Fencing.
The Fencing cases settled during the year 2019-20 till date are given at Annexure - I.
If the damage is caused due to wild animals, the losses are compensated under Shetkari Adhar Nidhi scheme @ Rs. 25000/- per ha upto maximum Rs. 1.00 lakh.
During the year 2019-20, 87 farmers have been compensated for the damages caused amounting to Rs. 5.78 lakhs covering an area of 20.87 ha. The details are given at Annexure – II.
During the year 2019-20 in Sanguem Taluka, 14 farmers have been compensated for the damages caused amounting to Rs. 1.41 lakhs covering an area of 6.47 ha. The details are given at Annexure – III.
During the year 2019-20, 05 cases for compensation amounting to Rs. 1.26 lakhs covering an area of 4.77 ha received from Sanguem Taluka are under process. The details are given at Annexure – IV.

| (b) | the total area that Vaani Agro and Beer Alcohol Project has occupied for their project in Sanguem Taluka;
| (b) | The investor had acquired land privately in Sanguem Taluka admeasuring 1,24,439.00 sq. mts.;
|
| (c) | whether the allotment of land is as per the requisition from the Company;
| (c) | Sir, the land was acquired by the Company privately;

The area under Settlement zone is approximately 8,420.00 sq. mts., Cultivable land zone is 97,481.00 sq.mts. and Orchard zone is 18,538.00 sq. mts. as per the Regional Plan for Goa 2021. The Investment Promotion Board vide Official Gazette No. 3/25/2015-IND dated 21/12/2015 notified the area as Investment Promotion Area;

| Goa-IPB has approved project of M/s Vaani Agro Farms Pvt. Ltd. in its 3rd Board meeting held on 16/01/2015 for setting up an Alcohol and Brewery Plant with malt and IMFL bottling plant at Amadai of Sanguem at Sy. No. 81/2-A admeasuring 64,439.00 sq. mts. and 81/2-B admeasuring 60,000.00 sq. mts. with estimated project cost of 111.38 crores and proposed employment generation for 500 people. In principle approval for the project was sent vide letter No. 5/2014/Goa-IPB/31 dated 10/02/2015. Goa-IPB has recommended the project for change in use of land from Orchard to Industrial zone to the extent of project size. Further, the plot under Sy. No. 81/2-A and 81/2-B is notified as Investment Promotion Area as per Official Gazette No. 3/25/2015-IND dated 21/12/2015;

(d) the number of claims rejected with reasons for rejection in each case;
(e) whether the Government has taken any decision not to consider applications for claims submitted by Government Servants;

(c) whether the Reservation Roster is maintained by all the Departments and whether it is verified by the concerned Departments before carrying out any recruitment or promotion; if so, the details thereof; if not, the reason for not verifying the same;
(d) the action taken by the Government against the Departments that have not verified the Reservation Roster;
