Session : Fourteenth Session 2021 | Sitting : BUSINESS FOR THE DAY -3

Raised by : Shri.Rohan Khaunte
Raised on : 26 Mar 2021
Concerned Minister : Shri. Vishwajit Rane (Skill Development , Women and Child Development , Industries, Trade and Commerce , Public Health)

  1. Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people due to the absence of COVID protocols in the State. Goa was amongst the first few States in the country to be declared as COVID free, however, due to the lack of restrictions on outsiders entering the State, despite foresight of its repercussions, Goa was stripped of its ‘Green Zone’ title. Once again, on the arrival of the second wave, the State Government stands unguarded welcoming outsiders. Our neighbouring states like Maharashtra have imposed strict COVID testing protocol on arrival to prohibit all possible suspects from entering the State. The State government needs to take similar steps at this preliminary stage to prevent community transmission of the virus. The steps Government proposes to take in this regard
