Fear and anxiety in the mind of people of Ponda regarding Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa and Union Territories due to the Code of Regulation 2018, wherein for procedure of supply and installation of more than 100KV separate transformer and replacement and erection of new electric poles and replacement of street lights and bulbs shall be installed at Consumers Cost. This regulations/procedure creates hardship to the common local people of Goa, inspite of the infrastructure tax. The steps by the Government to provide relief to common people.

Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people due to the absence of COVID protocols in the State. Goa was amongst the first few States in the country to be declared as COVID free, however, due to the lack of restrictions on outsiders entering the State, despite foresight of its repercussions, Goa was stripped of its ‘Green Zone’ title. Once again, on the arrival of the second wave, the State Government stands unguarded welcoming outsiders. Our neighbouring states like Maharashtra have imposed strict COVID testing protocol on arrival to prohibit all possible suspects from entering the State. The State government needs to take similar steps at this preliminary stage to prevent community transmission of the virus. The steps Government proposes to take in this regard
