SHRI MAUVIN GODINHO, MLA made a mention about the grave
anxiety in the minds of the people of Dabolim and Sancoale due to the
arbitrary decision of the Town & Country Planning Department in not
approving place for construction citing a Forest Department letter dated
27/6/2013 merely saying that the particular survey number has been
identified for survey to be demarcated as Private forest. These include
lands which have valid conserver sanads and NOC from Forest
Department.

SHRI MAUVIN GODINHO, MLA made a mention about the grave anxiety in the minds of the people of Goa particularly people associated with the Shipping Industry due to “tendering of foreshore land” and implementation of a 500% increase in the rentals by the Mormugao Port Trust, bringing to a halt all economic activity associated with ship repair, ship building, dry-docking etc. resulting in shutting down of most shipyards resulting in loss of jobs and livelihood, one of the industry which was a industry of the Goan economy.

Steps local Government will take to prevail upon the MPT not to implement decision that will shut down the ship repair and ship building industry.

 SHRI MAUVIN GODINHO, MLA made a    mention about “the report enacting from the National Capital that the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs in clearing a Bill for passage and Parliament to amend Article 371 of the Constitution to special status to various Regions and States thus making it imperative for the Goa Government to pursue this case vigorously in order to have power to protect the land, language and culture of Goa which would only be possible if Goa’s demand to be granted special status is conceded by including Goa in the Bill.”

Content :

SHRI MAUVIN GODINHO, MLA made a mention about the grave anxiety in the minds of the people in Goa, due to difficulties in obtaining conversion sanads inspite of the new guidelines of the Government and also inspite of the Town Planning Department, having incorporated fresh procedures for conversion sanad as per Annexure II of “the Goa Regulation of Land Development and Building Construction Act, 2008”. Now, with the Government proposing to make conversion sanad a pre-requisite for obtaining development approvals, it is even going to be more harassment and difficulties being encountered by the public to obtain a conversion sanad. In process the revenue in terms of conversion fees which would have come in the Government kitty within 15 days also gets delayed by several months.

S/SHRI MAUVIN GODINHO, ALEIXO REGINALDO LOURENCO, VIJAI SARDESAI AND SUBHASH PHAL DESSAI, MLAs made a mention about the grave anxiety in the minds of the people of Goa and more importantly the common man over the non availability of the essential items of life as well as the spiraling prices of day-to-day items/commodities due to wide spread protests from our neighbouring States due to the introduction of Entry Tax without notification.

There are apprehensions in the minds of the people also as regards to the interstate issues impacting our relations with our neighbouring States and our overall image in the Country. The steps Government proposes to take to solve this issue.

 SHRI MAUVIN GODINHO, MLA made a mention about the grave anxiety in the minds of the people of Dabolim Constituency and more particularly the people of Vaddem, New Vaddem, Chicalim, Alto-Chicalim, Alto Dabolim, Matvem Dabolim Regina Mundi, Adarshnagar, Chicolna and Bogmalo where there is acute shortage of portable water supply from the PWD for the last 10 days. Further in the above mentioned places namely Vaddem, New Vaddem, Chicalim, Alto-Chicalim, Alto Dabolim, Matvem Dabolim, Regina Mundi, Adarshnagar, Chicolna and Bogmalo water being released only on alternate days at very odd hours and not even for two hours in some places that with very low pressure, thus creating great hurdles for the people of above area due to lack of such a important necessity of life. The steps Government will immediately take to ease the situation.
