“Fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of Goa on the reported lease of about 1 lakh sq. meters each of River Zuari area at Nauxim (St. Andre Constituency) and Sancoale (Cortalim Constituency) by Mormugao Port Trust to private companies for setting up marinas for crafts/small boats/yachts etc. Action the Government proposes to take on this issue to safeguard its ownership rights over the said river area as declared under Section 14 (1) of Goa Land Revenue Code”.

The action the Government of Goa proposes to take the diversion issue of Mhadei river by Karnataka Government."

“Fear and apprehension in the minds of the people of the people of Raia in particular and surrounding areas at large due to frequent occurrence of accidents at Pepsi-Arlem-Borim road and due to which many precious lives are lost, recent being 2 persons had died on 25-04-2013 at Tembi junction thus widening of road is required and demolishing of a shop which causes hindrance to the traffic. The steps Government intends to take in the matter.”

Chief Minister that keeping in view the reported information that the
International Civil Aviation Organization has not yet cleared the proposed
International Airport at Mopa and the fact that the existing Dabolim
Airport can be upgraded into International Airport at a fraction of the
cost, within very less time and with very few bottlenecks in terms of
clearances, the Government of Goa may abandon the Mopa airport project
to save enormous amounts of public money sought to be squandered on
the proposed Mopa airport which is functionally and financially unviable.

SHRI ALEIXO REGINALDO LOURENCO moved the following:

“This House strongly resolves that the Health/Medical Officer of Health
Centres be empowered by the Government to issue N.O.Cs for providing
Sulabh toilets to the beneficiaries on par with the powers presently
exercised by them to issue N.O.Cs for release of tap water and electricity
connections and that based on such N.O.Cs the beneficiaries be provided
with the Sulabh toilet facilities, regardless of the fact that the beneficiaries
are able to obtain N.O.Cs or not from the respective civic authorities
(Panchayat/Municipalities) for the purpose, provided that the
beneficiaries are the owners or mundkars of their respective plots
admeasuring minimum of 300 sq. mts in which the toilet is proposed to be
constructed and that the Government be pleased to issue appropriate
guidelines in this direction”.

The Minister for Health replied to the points raised by the mover.

take in the matter.”

due to demolition of their houses. It is therefore proposed to protect the
people of Khariwada that the Central Government be empowered under
section 6 of the Indian Ports Act, 1908 to alter the limits of the Port and to
Vasco, Khariwada Bay, Baina Bay beside village of Bogmalo, Velsao upto
Betul as traditional fishing villages and urges the Government to take up
the mater on urgent basis as the public at large are interested in the same
for fear in more houses to be demolished.”

Curtorim as the existing building is in a dilapidated condition and requires
urgent attention for the patients, as the building is an old pre-liberation
hospital where land was donated by private individual family and for
posterity's sake the structure has to be preserved."
