SHRI PRATAPSINGH RANE , HON'BLE SPEAKER made obituary references to the following:
(1)Shri Sadashiv Marathe, Ex-MLA from Sanguem Constituency, who passed away on 27 November, 2010.
(2)Dr. Subhash Bhende, a prominent figure in the field of Marathi Literature of Goan origin who passed away on 21 December, 2010.
(3)Dr. Prahlad Vader, a renowned personality in the field of Marathi Literature who passed away on 16 January, 2011.
(4)Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, a Legendary Hindustani Vocalist and a recipient of Bharat Ratna who passed away on 24 January, 2011.
(5)Shri Narayan Surve, renowned poet who passed away on 16th August, 2010.
(6) Late Shri Prabhakar Panshikar, an eminent and renowned Marathi stage personality of great repute and of Goan origin, who passed away on 13 January, 2011.
(7) Padmabhushan Ravindra Kelekar, a freedom fighter, Jnanpith Award winner who passed away on 27 August, 2010. On account of his death, Goa has lost a noted Konkani Litterateur.
(8) Late Shri Krishnanath B. Naik, Ex-MLA who dedicated his life for social upliftment of the people and associated with number of Institutions, passed away on 25 August, 2010.

"This House congratulates Peter Fernandes, resident of Curtorim, Salcete, Goa on being awarded International Referee Certificate who is now eligible to act as referee for sport of Taekwando which is also one of the Olympic sports. In the recently concluded 16th Asian Games in China, he was the only Goan who was appointed as Referee (technical official) for Taekwando event. Person of such magnitude who bring laurels to Goa should be encouraged and aided by the Government of Goa to facilitate them to reach greater heights of glory."

"This House congratulates the Taekwando Association of Goa under the leadership of Adv. R. D. Mangueshkar, whose team players won laurels for the State of Goa during the recently held 5th Commonwealth Championships. At this International event, the Goan team won 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. Players being Shri Aman Kumar, Smt. Angela Naik, Smt. Elizabeth Luis who won Gold. Smt. Tanvi Nadkarni, Shri Sagar Palconda, Shri Carlos Lawrenco who won Silver and Shri Dinku Singh, Shri P.Anand who won Bronze. We wish the Taekwando Association of Goa attains further heights and brings further laurels to the State of Goa."

CONGRATULATORY REFERENCE
This House congratulates Miss Talasha Satish Prabhu for winning four gold an silver medals at the 37th Junior National Aquatic meet at Bangalore and clinching title of ‘fastest female swimmer' with India's best time of 59.50 seconds to win gold in 100 mtrs freestyle, bringing laurels to the State of Goa.

CONGRATULATORY MOTION
"This House congratulates Miss Bhakti Pradeep Kulkarni for showing excellence in Chess and winning gold medal at the Asian Youth Chess Championship under 18 girls category held at Beijing, in China bringing laurels to Goa in the Sport of Chess".
